I got pretty special permission to use the content from a book of poetry called The Gift Poems by Hafiz. Hafiz is a Sufi Master from around 1320-1398 who is thought to have written about 5000 poems! This work has been translated by Daniel Ladinsky and this episode is the first time I’ll read one of the poems.
It’s called Today and it has had a special impact on my soul since I first heard it a few years ago. I hope it inspires us to take our time and see the sacred in the ordinary.
